Recently I’ve been choosing a new drawing tablet to replace my old iPad Pro (1st gen). There are currently many options on the market but I really wanted to try Pro Pen 3 as I’ve seen many good reviews about it. I like to draw on my lap and I like to take tablet with me sometimes. I’ve been thinking a lot wether pen display would be worth trying out, but decided to go with the ’safer’ version of a standalone tablet. Therefore, it came down to Movink 11 and Movink 14 Pro. This was a really hard choice. What I liked about Movink 14 is that it has more RAM, better CPU. I used my iPad for ages and never ran out of memory, so it wasn’t my concern. However, I felt like Movink 14 would be too big as I am used to 9.7” display. Additionally, there was a great deal for Movink 11. Namely, price off and free case. While being a bit scared, since I’ve never used anything except Procreate, I decided to go for it. Recently, I received my brand new pad and I’m in love. I really like the feel of drawing. The matte finish of the screen. The buttons on the pen. It just feels convenient. I think the colors really pop out, would be great if iPhone actually managed to capture it, but here is my first sketch in Clip Studio. The only downside is that I can’t transfer my brushes from Procreate, but it’s not a big deal for me. The pad handles layers really well. I like that it has built in camera, for taking pictures of sketches on paper. The screen is bigger than on my old iPad but it still feels very portable. For hobby artists, I feel like Movink 11 is perfect. It’s a great device for the money you pay.
